FACULTY-STUDENT TECHNOLOGY TEAMS AT UT AUSTIN
The Center for Instructional Technologies (CIT) at the
University of Texas/Austin has launched a pilot program
that will use 20 to 25 students with specialized
instructional and computer skills to help faculty
members develop innovative instructional technologies.
Students will have the option of receiving course
credit, and will receive some financial compensation.
The program (Faculty And Student Teams for TECHnology,
or ~FAST Tex), which will run through August, focuses on
multimedia production applications and development of
Web materials. It is supported in part by Apple Computer
and Compaq Computer corporations. CIT is a part of the
University's Academic Computing and Instructional
Technology Services. See http://www.utexas.edu/cc/cit/
