Yes. We should discuss the replacement of Mole:
if it is needed,
what purposes it is to serve and
using what technology.
I have heard suggestions of AIX, Linux and NT. Our choices will depend upon
what our anticipated needs and strategic directions are. I like the idea of
a "sandbox" for the staff, especially the student consultants. I would not
be supportive of choosing a unique environment unless the consensus is that
we would be adopting the technology to service the UVM community.
Although it is not a pressing issue (I expect UVM to be in CSLG for the
remainder of the calendar year), it is not too early to start discussing
it...
