Coordinator of Outreach Services

The University of Florida Health Science Center Library (HSCL) invites
applications for Coordinator of  Outreach Services.  Position
coordinates the HSCL's outreach services, and evaluates services
provided to faculty, staff and students outside of the main UFHSC
campus in Gainesville.  The position participates on the Reference
Education and Information Management (REIM) Department team and serves
as Library Liaison to the North Florida Regional AHEC program.

Responsibilities include: Lead the implementation of the HSCL
Strategic Plan for Outreach Services; develop related grant proposals;
act as a resource to Library Liaisons regarding the needs of distance
learners; assist in maintaining processes for remote access to
electronic resources; assist in developing library services
promotional materials for remote users; develop and deliver
bibliographic instruction to remote sites.

Required Qualifications: Master's Degree in library science from ALA
accredited library school; minimum two year's professional experience
in a health sciences, academic or special library; excellent
organizational, written and oral communication skills; ability to
manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.  Desired
Qualifications: Experience in providing library outreach services;
experience in grant writing; understanding of and experience with
relevant information technologies.  Salary: $33,000 minimum.  E-mail
