Subject: classification schemes
Hello everyone,
I'm in charge of a very small but rapidly growing patient education
library at a large cancer center. At this point in time we have
approximately 200 books, 150 pamphlet titles, 50 videotapes and 30
audiotapes on various cancer-related topics. Currently there is no
classification scheme or cataloging for any of these items. I have just
recently started in this position and it is my major project at the
moment to devise a classification scheme for our collection. Would
anyone who has been in this position be willing to share any ideas or
suggestions as to things that have worked well for them? Thank you!
