Doug,
We use either 93970 or 93971 for our vein mapping. We have no trouble
getting paid. We did, early on, have to explain to our local
insurance folks what vein mapping was and why it was important. I
provided several copies of book chapters and journal articles and that
satisfied them.

Fellow Netters,
I know this topic was covered a while back, but I would like to know how
many labs are using 93971 (unilat or limited venous) for lower ( or upper
for that matter) vein mapping. Also, are you routinely getting
reimbursed. I was told by our office manager recently that medicare was
not reimbursing us for our vein mappings. Any input/ suggestions???
