Hi All,
Just thought you might be interested that the Senate Government Operations
Committee (which is reviewing the same day registration and absentee
ballot regulations among others) is thinking about having a public hearing
using the Vermont Interactive Television (VIT) system. They are looking
into having it in the late afternoon, possibly on Thurday Feb 25th.
It could prove to be an easy way for clerks to testify before the
committee without having to all drive to Montpelier. If it works well,
the committee may consider using the VIT system more in the future.
I also am encouraging the committee members to subscribe to this listserve
so they can keep abrest of some of the thoughts regarding current
legislation.
Have a great weekend.
Best
Pete
:-)
