A Japanese Cultural Festival of arts, crafts, music, food, etc.

All proceeds from the raffle will benefit the Allan A. Andrews Memorial

Scholarship Fund at UVM.



Center Stage Events:



Folk Music Quartet with Kazue Oda and Mutsumi Corson on flute, Jason Pepe,

guitar, and Erika Kano, vocals

Koto Music, Heidi Western

Aikido of Champlain Valley and Aikido of Vermont

Noh Play, Mr. Mcdonald's 4th grade class from Jericho Elementary School

Haiku Poetry by Burlington Haiku

Kendo Demonstration by Francis Kiczokowski

Taiko Workshop for children of all ages

Bon Dance led by Prof. Hideko Furukawa, St. Michael's College--all may join in.

Taiko Drums Presentation, Burlington Taiko

Ikebana, Bonsai, Tea Ceremony, Kimono try-on, Calligraphy, Origami,

Children's Games, Silk Spinning, Haiku, Japanese Language lessons, Pottery,

Books about Japan, Japanese Food, Martial Arts

Foundation Center for Global Partnership.  Other businesses and individuals

have helped to make Matusri'99 possible.  Volunteers include members of the

Japan-America Society of Vermont, St. Michael's and University of Vermont

students, and other members of the Burlington community.
