Well Dennis...
It depends on whom you ask... up front the interpreting Docs say raise
the profession but their actions speak another truth my faithful Indian
companion.... the educators say they are all for raising the bar but
approve only AA degree programs and no end in sight.... The Registering
folks say they are for increased standards but more concerned with
registering new groups of "registrants"
Since that is there real bizness (registering registrants)... I can
understand..... Most of the educators couldn't make the 4 year degree
standards so they're trapped and the physicians see us as competition for
the medical dollar. It's something sonographers have to do for
sonographers..... much like nurses had to do for themselves??? I'm
not sure of the history, maybe you can enlighten us ???? when was the
first BSN program started???

As a group we can attain professional status, all it takes is hard work
and god knows sonographers know hard work..... Yesterday saw the mom we
called Cepocephaly on out at a town meeting.... we cried together. m.
