Hi Barb,

Since my tenure here in the Clerk's Office, we have only one case brought
before the board for the reason of unable to pay.  It was a situation where
the husband of eight kids and a wife, died quite quickly and unexpectedly
from cancer.  He was the sole bread winner.  After much deliberation the
board did excuse back taxes on this property.  That's the only case I can
remember.  If you would like to see a copy of the board's decision I would
be happy to fax it to you.

Regarding Ottawa:  a slight snafu has arisen in the lives of the Spence
family.  Our German exchange student and his mom are coming to the U.S. for
a wedding and will be coming to see us and spending the night on the the
22nd so I will not be leaving for the IIMC conference until Sunday the
