You're 100% right, Roumiana -- it's an absolute for posting jobs to
the list. Always has been, if I recall correctly.
It may be "business as usual" for that place but I doubt seriously it's
the rule. If it is, then the HR types take applicants for either stupid,
panicky, or both. Nobody with one eye & half a brain is going to apply
for a pig- in-a-poke job. Salary (at least a ballpark range) is just as
much de rigueur when it comes to advertising a job as the type of job
or its location are.

I would appreciate if you can refresh my memory about position
announcement without salary range being disclosed. Wasn't it among the
they refused to disclose the salary information - no salary info until I
get there for an interwiew. What I am wondering is how you can apply for a
job without knowing the pay. Are we that desparate? Or, maybe this is a
