I know we are not supposed to post selling messages and this really isn't -
it is an informative message. We have a large Vietnamese population in the
San Jose/San Francisco Bay Area. We are also lucky to have a patient
education magazine on medical problems and dental subjects written by the
Drs and Dentists here in San Jose. It has lots of info and lots of pictures,
some in color. The first issue of this year has a picture of a cat's head
and 1999 Ky Mao (meow?). They often have 1 word in English which helps to
define the topic. This issue has several pages on cholesterol. I have copied
from some of them with topics I have needed on stroke and hemophilia. They
are strong on dental material which is impossible to find. Needless to say,
this fills a big void.
They charge $12 to individuals for 6 issues a year and have a tentative
charge of $25 for institutions. They are non profit and plow any extra money
back in the magazine. I'm putting this on our node to see if there is enough
interest for them to pursue the institutional subscribers. They may be able
to send some back issues out but there will probably be a need to send a 9 x
12 envelope with postage and your address on it. They will have some back
issues for sale but not a complete run unless there is enough interest to
reprint.
So tell me if you are interested and I will give them the messages so they
can contact you. Then I'm out of the loop.
