In Marshfield, our Zoning Administrator does not have regular hours. He
works as needed. The records are kept in the town's meeting room in a
locked file cabinet. They are available when I am open (Tues - Fri,
8:30-12:00 and 12:30-4:30). We record Notices of Municipal Action, and if
anyone wants to see a specific permit or Certificate of Occupancy, I get it
for them. Since Bianchi, I have had about 3 requests to view a record.
Everyone justs calls our Zoning Administrator.
My biggest problem is that people DO want to see minutes/decisions from the
Zoning Board of Adjustment, but they haven't filed a single piece of paper
since before I became Town Clerk (1 1/2 years ago). I am embarassed when
people ask to see a decision or minutes and I have to send them away empty
handed. The BOA also hasn't ever given me a Notice of Municipal Action, in
spite of repeated requests, begging, pleading, and threats. Any suggestions?
