Hi Christy,
Four HCFA reps (Empire Medicare-New Jersey) visited one of my fixed sites
yesterday. (Actually, my COO handled the visit and asked if they were there
to pay me all the $$$ they owe me? Really!) Anyway, They interviewed two
of my techs and asked us to furnish the techs credentials, serial #'s of the
equipment with service log, asked for a copy of the entire IDTF application
and asked for a demo of the equipment (OB room) and treadmill operation of
our (cardiac stress) lab also. THe visit lasted about 1+ hours. They also
ripped out a battery of questions about billing and supervision issues. No
sweat. Bring them on! Let them see what a real IDTF
represents!!!!!.......after all, the IDTF's are more closely scrutinized
anyway...(my humble oppinion)!
They left pleased, of course!
