Thanks to all of you who volunteered your time to support your profession.
For those of you who are still considering becoming a representative there
are still vacancies. If you are hesitant because you are not sure what is
involved, please let me know and I will provide you with the guidebook, " How
to work with your carrier." Please do not assume that "someone else" will do
the work. They may not. We need to be proactive. Your local carrier can
write the payment policies however they choose. Staying in touch with your
carrier allows you to be aware of upcoming policies, and to help educate or
provide resources to your CMD. If your state already has a representative,
you can still volunteer to be part of the committee. Any more takers?
Thank you,
Christy L. Cornwell, LPN, RVT
