This past winter in western Maine I saw the lights for the first time,
second time and a few times after that. Coming home from work late at night
a few times the sky was just lit up with billowing glows of light. It was
beautiful! The first time I couldn't believe my eyes because I didn't think
you could see them that far south. They looked just like bright clouds.
Then after a while they would change form and move around the sky. A truly
amazing experience.
