Where'd you hear that? I thought this was "supposed" to be a good winter via
La Nina effects?

Mad River will. Remember last year's "snow poor" winter? They actually made
money. That same winter almost killed ASC with all their snowguns. Global
warming with bring more variable weather - a hotter atmosphere has more
energy for bigger storms. Every rainstorm will bring a hurricane, every
snowstorm a blizzard. The news media is gonna love it.

I don't think anyone skiing in Northern VT two weeks ago could have imagined
it would be this crappy right now. All this teaches us is that you cant plan
on the weather..if it's good now, you drop everything and go skiing now; if
it sucks, you work. I for one would like to extend a big I-told-you-so to
all of you who bagged skiing in March and April to go play golf or sail your
pretty boats. This is your punishment, too bad the rest of us have to suffer
through it as well.
