Wow! I just spent quite a while looking at the view of Bellows Falls. This is even a closer view than I think I could get bending over the real thing with a magnifying glass.

haven't, the Library of Congress has put its collection of bird's eye views
and panoramic maps on its American Memory web site. You can search by state
and town. They have a wonderful collection of Vermont bird's eyes and one
can happily get lost in the late 19th century Vermont for hours and not
