<< Any good suggestions out there for tracking down an inappropriate email to one of our teachers? >> Technically, O\other than getting the full header information - which can often get you down to the IP of the machine that sent the message - you may not get very far - since most IP numbers are assigned dynamically, and you would have to get the IP service provider to provide the additional information. If the letter was not merely inappropriate, but indicated some criminal intent, then the best thing to do is to call in the police services. Threatening, harrassing, etc. I believe the state police has an expert to help police agencies with incidents like this ... certainl the UVM police are building an expertise. (We're also an ISP and can generally trace IP's down to a cluster of rooms; the police have the authority to inverview the inhabitants of rooms, etc.) Steve
