Second Announcement and Call for Papers International Symposium on Quality Assurance for Analytical Methods in Isotope Hydrology IAEA, Vienna, Paris, 25-27 August 2004. IAEA-CN-119 Detailed information can be found at : http://www-pub.iaea.org/MTCD/Meetings/Announcements.asp?ConfID=119 The symposium will feature reviews on and examples of quality assurance for analytical techniques used in the field of isotope hydrology. Papers are invited on all aspects of analytical techniques and laboratory quality systems, aiming at the production of high quality data in day to day routine at isotope hydrology laboratories. Techniques considered are stable isotopes of light elements, radioactive isotopes at environmental level, chemical and isotopic tracers. Topics include calibration of measurements, quality control, statistical evaluation, uncertainty budget, best laboratory practises, precision and accuracy, traceability, laboratory information management, quality systems, new analytical techniques, sampling techniques, reference materials, interlaboratory comparisons, proficiency tests.
