This position is in the Branch of Regional Research of the Water Resources 
Division in Menlo Park, California. The primary purpose of this position 
is to perform isotopic analysis on a wide range of materials, to manage 
the sample flow, and to maintain the equipment related to this function. A 
secondary purpose of this position is to participate in sample tracking 
from login through data reporting and archiving. A wide range of sample 
types may be processed and analyzed simultaneously for multiple ongoing 
studies. Therefore, the project operation is complex and requires careful 
coordination of sample login, preparation, analysis, QA/QC, data 
recording, and reporting.
