Hi everyone,

On another topic….

My Gilson autosampler has just suddenly stopped working half way through a waters run.  It came to a stop at the next vial, tried to seal itself on the septa and started juddering and shaking and making noise. This stopped. I turned it on and off to try and reset it and now it won’t work.  The little led no longer comes on and the computer says that it can’t communicate with the Gilson and to try a reset using LC on the inlet editor (I am running masslynx on an Isoprime DI). I do the communications reset and I get the error msg RS232 communications fault. The control failed to communicate with the Gilson GSIOC reset communications from the LC menu.   This has no effect.  I have checked the fuse, rebooted software and computer and checked the cables…all to no avail.

Does anyone have any ideas/experience on this issue?

Thanks

Kim
