Craig you can order Chromebooks from just about anywhere.   I ordered my this summer from The Top Floor and got the management from http://www.cloudsherpas.com/ and I know CDWG sells them also.   The management is only sold from specific re-sellers.

While these are places to purchase from they will likely still be on backorder.

Frustrated trying to get Google deals on Chrombooks - I've been authorized to purchase a test set for over a month and Google does not respond.  This would allow us to test with a whole class, but there is no information on how to sign up!

Do Chromebooks really exist or are they vapor hardware?

Teachers will be able to purchase the already-cheap Samsung Series 5 Chromebook <http://www.engadget.com/2012/05/29/samsung-chromebook-series-5-550-review/>  for $99 this holiday season, Google just announced on its blog. Mountain View will offer the Chromebok for that discounted price thanks to a partnership with the online charity DonorsChoose.org -- and that $99 covers management and support in addition to the hardware. Public-school teachers who qualify will need to head to the Donors Choose website and to put in a request for up to 30 units. Everyone else can simply admire that act of benevolence -- or head to the aforementioned URL to make a donation of their own.
