I've had some folks ask how the Google Educator Certification Bootcamp that is being offered at CVEDV  July 11 & 12, 2016  is different than the training materials found at the Google Training Center.

Basically,  I've gone through all the materials and organized it to make it more concise and developed a pathway that allows you to make progress through the materials using  micro-credentials (badging)  for small steps along the way, giving you encouragements and coaching you as you navigate the training materials and prepare for the test.  Will also give tips and tricks for approaching the test and coach you towards completion.  

Sort of the difference between reading an exercise book and having a personal trainer. ;-)

Description:  

Why not join others in building your confidence with Google tools and distinguish yourself as an educator by becoming a Google Certified Educator?  More and more educators are growing their skills with Google tools to better serve our students to complete their professional responsibility.

 

This two-day boot camp will provide you with tips and pointers for successfully completing the materials and the official Google Certified Educator exams.  You can complete the $10 exam on your own when you feel ready and confident with the materials.    

 

Day 1:  

•Introduce various types of Google certification programs available for educators

•Help you get started on the pathway to becoming a Google Certified Educator

•Explore official Google Training center filled with readings and videos to help you learn how to integrate Google in your classroom

•Hands-on activities that will provide you with confidence to continue the activities on your own

 

Day 2:

•Continue to work on training materials together

•Become an online cohort with other participants to help support each other in pursuing certification

•Tips/Pointers on completing the materials/exams

 

Date: July 11 & 12, 2016

Hours: 9:00 am – 3:30 pm (light lunch provided)
