We do not block Facebook on our school WiFi.  Our goal is that our students know the appropriate use of technology, when to read personal social media and when not to, by the time they leave us for High School.  This goes beyond technology to all aspects of time management while they are in class.  There are some kids who need more time/effort to learn these lessons than others but that is a discipline issue, not a technology issue.

Anyway they could just use their cell data to get around any web filter we put up and we would still need to deal with the discipline issue.
