I went to the state ESSA training, and this is my understanding: This September the state will let us know in what grades the PE assessment will be administered (such as 4, 8 and 11). This spring a pilot of the test will be administered (I think the consensus is that it will be Fitness Gram).LynneOn Mon, Sep 25, 2017 at 10:27 AM, Jeff Richards <[log in to unmask]> wrote:Hello Everyone,The school counselor and I are trying figure out exactly what this means:ACTION 3: Administer the new Physical Education (PE) assessment (grades to be delivered September 2017) in the 2017 - 2018 school year. Beginning: Field tested in all schools in Spring 2018, with implementation for accountability in Spring 2019.It seems to me that the field testing will take place at the end of this year, and that more information will follow. Am I correct in that thinking? Also, the statement about grades being delivered in September 2017 is confusing us a little. The counselor is worried that we should be doing the assessment now. Any information you could give to point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, and have a great day!
