this from Marcus from Panurgy R RAM has more than doubled in price over the last 18 months, and notebook screens have gone up too. HP has passed on their component price increases. Not to mention the shortage and price spike of graphics cards caused by all those bitcoin miners out there. I don’t see a shortage, but what I do see is inflation. We’re used to prices going down, down and down, but every now and then they may have a spike. HP went through and raised prices for all customers at the beginning of the year. They did this not just for me, but all accounts. They reviewed each pricing deal and prices went up $5-$40 per device depending upon the device. Unlike in the past where there have been supply issues due to natural disasters (remember the hard drive shortage in 2012 because of the flooding in Thailand), it’s just a demand issue. Prices could go up more.
