Hi Karen,This is what we've been doing based on our learning and experimentation: At the end of testing, Proctors are Reseating students who will need to continue their testing that day or the next, for example. After the Proctor refreshes their dashboard and the test Health shows the student as Exited, the Proctor reseats any student not done with testing. In our test, we found that reseating held until as much as the next day and maybe longer. This means for day 2 of testing the Proctor did not need to start the session by reseating students first. This also means if the student was needing extra testing time on the same or different day, they could easily be moved into a new Proctor Group. For this new Proctor Group to be created, the new Proctor goes back and uses the original test code for the grade level and content area from the Administration Card; this is what ensures that the student ends up back in the test they started.I did learn that the Test Codes for Proctor Groups may expire as that seems like it happened today in a situation where one Proctor had two test codes that she has been reusing for make-up tests. She has opened them several days in a row when she has been holding make-up sessions with students. This morning they didn't work. We thought that maybe the Proctor Group expired. We created new proctor groups for those tests and that seemed to fix things. I sent a ticket to the VT Service Center to confirm the Test Codes do expire and in X number of days and can share that here once I hear back from them.I have been trying to document testing tips and tricks that we're learning. Has anyone got anything they would add and has anyone had any word on a way to eliminate the Test Launch Error from occurring on the first day of testing? I've sent this error, a Log File from a student's device and a photo of the error to Pearson Support and have not gotten an update as of yet, which I will be checking back in about today. If at all possible, I want to prevent this error from occurring as when it does it impacts over 50% of our testers' devices on day 1 of testing.Good luck!KimKaren -The biggest change from SBAC is what you indicate: every test and grade level must be proctored separately so you would need six proctoring sessions for those makeups (ELA & Math, each for 3 grades.) One thing we did (although we only test grade 9) was to have kids finish each section before moving on, despite our "schedule." That way most kids finished most of the first 3 sessions by the time we got to session #4 and kids who moved slowly only had to finish the last section. I'm trying to get ahead of the curve to plan how makeups will work. For those of you who have already started testing, any insights on makeup processes that have worked? SBAC was a lot more flexible, so that I could have kids in multiple tests and grade levels in the same makeup session, something that is not easily accomplished in VTCAP (I know that I can have multiple tabs, but just ugh). I'm looking for any workflows that have been successful for you.We're on break this upcoming week, and start testing on 4/26, so I have a little time to make sure we're planning as well as we can (given the large quantity of unknowns).Current plan includes testing students in proctor groups 4/26 for ELA section 1 and 4/27 for section 2 for grades 7, 8 and 9. I've asked that students who don't finish the section within the time we've allowed be sent to me in the Library to finish so that they can start the next day with the rest of the group.
