Bright Arrow can do email, text, voice, and technically social media though I have no idea how or what it looks like. In an email, there are some built in mail merge fields, but if you need more (for instance, I send Schoology parent codes) then you have to request those from the company. I needed one in the fall, which is their busy time, so it took a week. Normally they are faster at responding. You can use templates, translate to contact's languages, and send attachments or images. I like the ability to send a preview message because I sometimes catch mistakes before I send them out to a large group. We've had less issues with it, their support is better, and I feel it's a little more intuitive for users. It does have a translation feature that you can toggle on when you send a message.Good afternoon,
I know there have been some other discussions on here about texting specifically, but wondering what you are all using for communication platforms in general, specifically platforms that include translation... ideally auto-translate.
We currently are a PowerSchool/SchoolMessenger district and have translations enabled. Schools have been utilizing the free version of TalkingPoints and are about to start a trial of a more complete version.
- Wondering if anyone out there is using the PowerSchool Communicate platform that helps with attendance and can be used for messaging?
- Anyone else out there using TalkingPoints? It seems to be better at translations than SchoolMessenger but lacks the ability to make phone calls and does not seem to be able to handle parent/guardian contacts as well as SchoolMessenger.
