Hi all. I'm also in this boat and would love to crowdsource leads.

Background:
I already have an MLS and School Library endorsement and have been chipping away at adding my EdTech endorsement for 6+ years (COVID-interruptus). I am two classes short of what I need.

Brash opinion: The EdTech endorsement is in quasi-limbo.
UVM cancelled the class I was enrolled in for this past fall and has also removed mention of the certificate path from their website that laid out the classes to take. I spent a long time looking for a similar class to replace the one that got cancelled and found nothing great. The Upper Valley Educator's Institute will let me design my own class (maybe, but I'd rather not). I can cobble together three 1 credit classes from here and there that-- together-- cover UDL, assistive tech and differentiating with tech (and pay the fee(s) to have whatever college sign-off on the credits) but it is unclear if that will meet the requirements and I don't want to waste my time and money without pre-approval.

I would love to know if anyone knows of courses that could replace "Differentiation and Technology" (UDL, assistive tech, differentiation)

Here are the classes they listed in the page that no longer exists (thanks to Lucie who had me do a spreadsheet once :). :

EDFS 320 Technology, Schooling, and SocietyEDCI 321 Learning Theory, Instructional Design, and TechnologyEDCI 322 Differentiated Instruction with TechnologyEDCI 323 Inquiry Based Learning and TechnologyEDCI 324 Current Topics in Assessment or TechnologyEDCI 325 Technology and Leadership

My question for those who might know-- What's going on? Is a realignment of expectations from the AOE in the works?

I got mine using Transcript review: https://education.vermont.gov/educator-licensure/become-a-vermont-educator/transcript-review

This was the path I took
  1. I got my masters in ed from UVM (before I had a teaching license).  *I suspect that Castleton has a similar path.
  2. I then did a transcript review for my initial endorsement (Educational Technology Specialist)
  3. You are responsible for the practical hours, which I think is 300.  They counted the classes I taught at MSj and my work as a tech integration coach (the non-licensed version of that endorsement).  It is a k-12 endorsement so you will need hours in all grades.
  4. They will need to take the Praxis core, unless they got a particular score on the SAT's.

I followed it up and got my admin endorsement by
  1. Working 3 years under a teacher contract.
  2. I took the endorsement path offered at Castleton.  *they have a masters version of this if you add a few more classes.
  3. I am at the point where I need to submit my transcript to the AOE and that process will be done.
I am happy to talk with anyone interested in a similar path.

Greetings!

A colleague is interested in becoming a fellow technology integrationist; I'm embarrassed to admit I'm no longer certain about the criteria for this endorsement. The AOE's own Website is ... clunky.  I simply want a list of things a VT licensed teacher needs to do/complete to join our ranks.  Can anyone point me in the right direction?  And, with Marlboro College's grad program now gone, who offers requisite courses?

Thanks!
