Good morning! Our school board has asked me to look into purchasing voting machines. I contacted the Secretary of State's office and received this email. The voting machines we purchase for the towns are the Dominion ImageCast Precinct 2 machines, and we purchase those through LHS, a distributor based in Methuen, MA. You can contact them here: 1.888. 547.8683
The cost of the machines for us is $5,700.00 each. We pay the programming for the statewide elections, but the towns pay their own and the minimum for that is somewhere around $585. LHS will help you design and print your ballots for the machine, they will provide memory cards programmed with your election to use in the machine, and they will perform maintenance. You will have to test your machine before each election. Here is our tabulator guide that goes over testing, setup and operation, and troubleshooting: https://outside.vermont.gov/dept/sos/Elections%20Division/town%20clerks%20and%20local%20elections/election%20supplies/2022%20Vermont%20Vote%20Tabulator%20Guide.pdf
You can find more information the tabulators on the LHS website here: https://www.lhsassociates.com/
This is a professional first for me so I'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts or pro-tips! - T.--Tina Scheindel, Technology Director and Integration SpecialistOrange Southwest Supervisory District24 Central StreetRandolph, Vermont 05060802-728-5052-----------------------------------------------------------------------
