I did some poking around and the issue seemed to stop when disabling the force-installed extension abfmmnnkkojjfgajfjjodllhmkcpfkam which seems to be Bark related.

Bjorn - I agree that it seems like the zoom is off somehow, but after no luck after testing/trying almost every conceivable setting.  I turn to the collective hive mind for help.

Adding to the chaos of the VTCAP mess is the fact that Google Slides aren't functioning properly for anyone here on a ChromeBook.  Typing text of more than a few letters results in this:

Works fine for anyone on a Windows or Mac machine.  We first thought it originated with interference from a Chrome extension, but process of elimination ruled that out.  There's a work around, in which the Slides are downloaded as a .pptx file, opened from there, and then things work correctly.  Anyone else have this?  Seriously annoying.
