   Connect Your Monitor: First, make sure your external monitor is properly
   connected to your Chromebook.1 You can use an HDMI, DisplayPort, or
   USB-C cable, depending on your device's ports.

   Open Settings: Click on the clock in the bottom-right corner of your
   screen to open the status tray.2 Then, click the Settings icon (it looks
   like a gear).

   3.

   Go to Power Settings: On the left-hand menu, select Device, and then
   click on Power.3


Adjust Lid Behavior: Find the option that says "Sleep when lid is closed"
and turn off the toggle switch.4
