Many of the Cloud-based phone systems, such as Zoom Phone, now have sms capability for each extension (physical or virtual) in the system. Any user can send texts through a Zoom client on any platform, avoiding the disclosure of their personal contact information. Further, all communications through the system are logged and accessible by Admins. I believe that there might be some translation services too, or possibly it's a forthcoming feature.
