I am writing you to see if you've received the cover letter, resume and
references that I sent November 20th in regard to the Assistant Specialist
position available in the Marine Science Institute.  The exclusion of a
phone number at which to contact you leads me to believe that e-mail may be
more welcome.  I would however, like to discuss further with you my
qualifications which I believe are more evident in a conversation than a
