We use evacuated glass containers made by Labco called Exetainer System. They are 13C and gas testing vials. We get the 10 ml size and sample with syringes. The tops have a septum for inserting the syringe. They can be stored for awhile. We've stored up to a couple weeks. We use these for measurements of CO2 and methane. I believe we order them through VWR. Let me know if you can't find them.
