FULL-TIME CAREER POSITION OPEN:
Stable Isotope Mass Spectrometrist
University of California, Santa Cruz/Mountain View, CA
A BS- or MS-level Staff Research Associate IV is sought
to conduct light stable isotope analyses using a new Finnigan MAT Delta
Plus mass spectrometer coupled to: i) a Hewlett Packard 6890 Gas
Chromatograph with a Finnigan combustion interface, and ii) a
Carlo-Erba Elemental Analyzer. This position will be in support of
multi-investigator biogeochemistry projects requiring bulk and
compound-specific organic and inorganic stable isotope measurements.
While the position is with the University of California Santa Cruz,
the worksite will be off-campus at the Stable Isotope Biogeochemistry
Laboratory of NASA-Ames Research Center, Mountain View - in the south
San Francisco Bay area. Starting salary: $36.6k/yr. Closing date:
April 14, 1999.
