   The Lake Champlain open waters forecast.

   _Today: _south At 10 to 15 knots, becoming northwest 5 to 15 knots
   late this morning. Waves 1 to 2 feet.

   _Tonight: _Light and variable wind, becoming east at 10 knots by
   morning. Waves 1 foot or less. Chance of showers toward sunrise.

   _Friday: _south Wind 10 to 15 knots. Waves 1 to 2 feet. Chance of
   showers and thunderstorms, reducing visibility to between 1 and 3
   miles.

   The Lake Champlain level at the King street ferry dock was 99.86 feet.
   The water temperature was 52 degrees.
