   The Lake Champlain open waters forecast.

   _A Lake Wind advisory May be needed on Friday or Friday night _

   _Tonight: _Northwest wind at 5 to 15 knots diminishing to light early.
   Wind becoming southeast at around 10 knots by daybreak. Waves A foot
   or less. A Chance of showers or A thunderstorm toward sunrise.

   _Friday: _Wind becoming south to southwest at 15 to 25 knots. Waves 1
   to 3 feet. Showers and thunderstorms likely, reducing visibilities to
   less than 3 miles.

   _Friday Night: _Wind shifting to the northwest at 15 to 25 knots.
   waves 1 to 3 feet. A Chance of showers or thunderstorms in the
   evening, reducing visibilities to 3 to 5 miles.

   _Saturday: _Northwest wind at 10 to 20 knots. Waves 1 to 2 feet.

   Wind and waves will be higher in the vicinity of any thunderstorms.
   visibilities will be unrestricted tonight and on Saturday. The Lake
   Champlain level at the King street ferry dock was 99.78 feet. The
   water temperature was 51 degrees.
