We recently read that feeding chelated minerals to brood cows for 1 to 2 months prior to calving will help to eliminate scours in their calves.  We don't feed chelated minerals because of the added cost and also because our cattle seem to do very well on non-chelated minerals.  Has anyone else had experience feeding this type of mineral?  Has anyone experienced the scour-prevention benefit of them?
