M-mode implies a one-dimensional ultrasonic measurement procedure with movement of the trace to record amplitude and velocity of moving echo-producing structures. B-scan implies a two-dimensional ultrasonic scanning procedure with a two-dimensional display. Real-time scan implies a two-dimensional ultrasonic scanning procedure with display of both two-dimensional structure and motion with time. 76778 Echography of transplanted kidney, B-scan and/or real time with image documentation, with or without duplex Doppler studies 76936 Ultrasound guided compression repair of arterial pseudo-aneurysm or arteriovenous fistulae (includes diagnostic ultrasound evaluation, compression of lesion and imaging) 76942 Ultrasonic guidance for needle placement (eg, biopsy, aspiration, injection, localization device), imaging supervision and interpretation Non-Invasive Vascular Diagnostic Studies (93875-93990) Vascular studies include patient care required to perform the studies, supervision of the studies and interpretation of study results with copies for patient records of hard copy output with analysis of all data, including bidirectional vascular flow or imaging when provided. The use of a simple hand-held or other Doppler device that does not produce hard copy output, or that produces a record that does not permit analysis of bidirectional vascular flow, is considered to be part of the physical examination of the vascular system and is not separately reported.
