Much-visited topic, sorry for the replay, but here's the question(s).

For shaped skis, telemarkski.com recommends geting skins not much (or no)
wider than the waist, to minimize cutting. I think the general skivittle
advice is the opposite: get 'em nearly as wide as the shovel, or at least the
tail, right?

Also, I want the skins for use on two different skis, similar in dimensions,
but not identical
(178 s 107/70/92, and 186s 105/69/92). No problem, right? Even with tail
hooks?
