   The Lake Champlain open waters forecast

   Lake Thunderstorm advisory through early this evening. Lake wind
   advisory through early this evening.

   Rest of today: South Wind 20 to 30 knots. Waves 3 to 6 feet.
   visibility lowering to 1 to 3 miles in showers and thunderstorms this
   afternoon. Some thunderstorms May produce hail and wind gusts to 40
   knots. Wind direction May briefly shift to the west in the vicinity of
   any thunderstorms.
   Tonight: South Wind becoming west and diminishing to 10 to 20 knots.
   Waves around 2 feet. Chance of showers and thunderstorms until
   midnight. Visibility around 5 miles in any precipitation early.
   Saturday: South Wind 15 to 25 knots. Waves 2 to 3 feet. Chance of a
   late day shower or thunderstorm. Visibility generally unrestricted.

   The Lake Champlain Lake level at the King Street ferry dock was 97.72
   feet. The water temperature was 54 degrees.
