Cloud cover and a cool E wind in late afternoon seemed to depress butterfly
activity on Upper Loveland Rd in Norwich yesterday, but I managed to find
the following:

Great Spangled Fritillary (1)
Aphrodite Fritillary (1)
Aphrodite/Atlantis Fritillary (1)
Common Wood Nymph (12+) -- 8 with large postmedian FW patches, 2 with
isolated spots, 2 intermediate
European Skipper (1)
Peck's Skipper (1)
Dun Skipper (3)

Earlier in day, while sun was still out, had my first Monarch of the season
at VINS in Woodstock.
