A mist-netting session on the Mansfield ridgeline evening of 8/26 and morning of 8/27: In nets: Bicknell's Thrush (1 imm.) Cedar Waxwing (1) Blackpoll Warbler (1 adult) Yellow-rumped Warbler (8) Black-throated Blue Warbler (2 imm. males) Black-throated Green Warbler (1 imm. male) Chestnut-sided Warbler (1) Wilson's Warbler (1) Dark-eyed Junco (9) White-throated Sparrow (2) A maximum of 9 Common Ravens cavorting around the Nose in evening. An odd assortment of 4 American Kestrels, 1 Sharp-shinned Hawk, 1 Red-tailed Hawk, and 1 raven all wheeling about and divebombing one another over the Nose at 0900.
