Beth Israel Medical Center, Petrie Campus, has two part-time positions available.

Technical Services Librarian--30 hours per week
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage cataloging activities, compile statistics, analyze all computer related issues and ensure operation of system hardware and software, maintain and edit existing catalog records as needed, provide reference services and conduct online bibliographic searches in absence of Reference Librarian, administer interlibrary loan activities and supervise document delivery services for all Beth Israel sites, supervise document delivery staff, compile ILL statistics.

Requirements:
Masters degree from an ALA-accredited library program, 3-5 years of supervisory experience in interlibrary loan and bibliographic searching, ability to work in a flexible environment. Bioscience/medical library experience favored. Familiarity and experience with SydneyPlus is preferred.

Departmental Librarian--Surgery--7.5 hours per week

Manages all administrative and service functions of the Ginsberg Library in the Surgery Department, trains customers on use of medical databases and the Internet, maintains and develops book and journal collections and processes financial records/payments, provides Reference service to Surgery staff, participates in Surgical weekly Grand Rounds.

Requirements:

Masters degree from an ALA-accredited library program,  demonstrated ability to work independently, 3-5 years experience in a biosciences/medical library, proven searching ability on online databases and end-user training, good communication and interpersonal skills.

The two part-time positions may be combined to fulfill full-time status.
