There are multiple ways that spammers grab addresses.  They go around to
web sites (like the public archives of this list) and scoop up
addresses.  They also send to random strings of characters are a known
domain and figure they'll get some... they are sending millions of
messages, if a couple hundred thousand bounce into a black hole, they
don't care....
