We got tired of it and mentioned to the selectmen that perhaps someone should be hired. One selectmen thought "volunteerism" would be a good idea. He volunteered for the next storm and showed up after 10 am to shovel. He never "volunteered" again and neither did anyone else. Needless to say since then we have hired an outside contractor to shovel for us.Lisa - Grafton----- Original Message -----From: [log in to unmask]>Susan CovallaSent: Monday, January 13, 2003 4:06 PMSubject: shoveling snow
Just wondering how many town clerks have the job of shoveling the snow (unpaid of course) at their Town Office. I have been doing it for 20 yrs, and am trying to get the road crew or someone else to do it. Just wondering how many are in the same boat as I am?
