South of the dam on the Stebbins Island one of the resident nesting eagles was perched near the nest site, suggesting that in spite of last year's disaster, they are planning to reuse the nest this year. I had a poor angle, but others have reported seeing new nest material on the nest.

Also in that vicinity, female Bufflehead with Common Goldeneyes.

Below the dam, still a Barrow and long-tailed duck among the goldeneyes, along with good numbers of hooded and common mergansers.

Above the dam, a female scaup, but despite patient study, further ID could not be made.

No sign of any cormorants and any ilk.
