Sorry to correct Jerm but the Jax is a much more advanced ski than any old CMH reject Powder Board.
1. The Jax is an improved, stiffer version of the Line Mothership. Line came out last season, and the big name skiers wanted a stiffer board. Karhu made the Jax stiffer. Next year, Line will have the same technology.
2. The Jax has TWO layers of metal--Titanal it is called.
3. Jax has shock absorbers built into the tips. To get a correct stiffness feel, the ski has to be bent with the RUNNING EDGE on the floor and the hands on the RUNNING EDGE up top--ski nearly parallel to the floor.
So throw away you 1990's technology. Welcom to the 21st century ski
JJ
