Hi All, Please be very careful in using this web site. The general info is ok but the SSI information is for another state so all of it would not apply to Vermont. SSI amounts in general are different for each state. I won't get into the reasons. The best source of Social Security information in Vermont is available from the Voc Rehab Benefits Counselors who are stationed in VR and DET offices around the state. We now have 13 full time Benefits Counselors. Again please be careful in advising people about benefits as each person's circumstance is different and each benefit is affected in a different way by employment. It seems more user-friendly than the "Red Book." * * * * * * * * * * Bryan Dague University of Vermont Center on Disability & Community Inclusion 101 Cherry Street, Suite 450 Burlington, VT 05401-4439 Phone: 802-656-1345 Fax: 802-656-1357
